An evening of storytelling and local chefs cooking for a cause that fills rural Ohio backpacks with weekend food for students who need it most. When the cafeteria closes on Friday, too many kids wait until Monday for a reliable meal—this fundraiser keeps FoodHatch’s school breakfast and backpack campaigns stocked through spring testing season and beyond.
You will hear from nutrition directors, parent volunteers, and students (with guardian permission) about how discreet food kits protect dignity while improving attendance and focus. Chefs from neighboring towns will plate a three-course tasting menu built from regional farms and pantry-friendly ingredients, showing how crowdfunding and community kitchens can work together.
Ticket proceeds and live pledges go directly to the active FoodHatch campaign for school meals. Organizers will share transparent budget slides: cost per backpack, cold-storage upgrades, and the stretch goals that add fresh fruit when donations allow.
