Thousands of Arizona veterans live alone—far from base resources, managing fixed incomes, and facing long desert drives to the nearest grocery store. When mobility or health makes cooking difficult, nutritious meals slip away and isolation grows.
This FoodHatch campaign packs weekly meal kits designed with veteran service partners: balanced proteins, fresh produce when available, shelf-stable staples, and simple recipes that honor dietary needs. Volunteer drivers deliver kits with a friendly check-in—no paperwork hurdles, just care.
Funds cover food purchasing, insulated tote bags, refrigeration at packing hubs in Phoenix and Tucson, and fuel stipends for rural routes that reach veterans from the Valley to Flagstaff and the border communities. Every kit is assembled with dignity and choice.
We are close to the goal. Finishing this campaign locks in a full year of kit production so organizers can focus on outreach instead of scrambling for the next grocery order.
